Some PC games require an Xbox 360 controller to play. Learn how to make your regular PC game pad emulate the Xbox 360 game pad.

Please read the readme instructions. If you have serious PC issues, consult the forums of this program, not me.

Note 1: Yes, you can emulate pressure sensitive button pressing! Thanks to commenter Garfuck, this is what he said:

“”The “”XBOX 360 Controller Emulator with XInput 32bit”” is the only one, that worked for me “”code.google.com/p/x360ce/downloads/list”” ; dont forget to also dwnload the fitting xinput from the same page. I first didnt and had to reinstall the game. But after that I started the prog in the game direction WITH the unpacked “”x360ce Library 32bit″” and it worked!! My triggers are half axis 4 and inverted half axis 4.””
Update: User submitted Tip Below:

“”You can actually skip the step where you go to your system devices to get the PID and VID of your gamepad. just extract the contents of the file you download from that link, then run the XInputTest.exe. if you open x360ce.ini, the PID and VID will now be the same as your controller’s.
you can use this application to test out your mapping.

also, if you’re using an xbox 360 controller or madcatz, and your game seems to have weird mapping, you don’t need to edit any key mapping. just change 2 lines (make sure they’re as follows):

i actually used this emulator when i played splinter cell conviction. i have a madcatz wired controller, which works both on xbox 360 and pc, and when i first played the game (without vibmod), it was a mess, like button B on the controller corresponded to A ingame, a lot of buttons didn’t even do anything, left stick button started up the menu… this was all a due to some programming error, so there was little else to do.
then i used vibmod, changed these two code lines and everything worked out perfectly. i even got vibration to work, which didn’t work before using vibmod.””
To emulate other controllers:

1: Open the x360ce.ini file..

2: Scroll down until u see “”[PAD2]””(without inverted commas).

3: Under that line u’ll see this

“”Index=-1″ just change it to 1, like this “”Index=1″ (without inverted commas) and that’s it u can use up to 4 controllers. To use 3rd and 4th controller just go under the appropriate controller ( e.g “”[PAD3]””””[PAD4]””)and change the

‘Index=-1″ to “”Index=1″ for 3rd and same for the 4th controller.
