[How To] Use Spinrite – Hard Drive Data Recovery and Scanner Tool
Spinite is a hard drive data recovery tool where the user boots it before launching the operating system. Spinrite will then perform to inspect every single sector on the hard drive to determine if it is good or bad. If you have a bad sector, Spinrite will do everything in its power to try to recover all the data. If it is unsuccessful, it will mark the sector bad so that the hard drive will not use it again in the future.
If you have issues with your hard drive when trying to copy files over, or your hard drive seems to be corrupted, give Spinite a try and see what it can do for you.
